About the Presenter, Gaylon Ferguson
Gaylon Ferguson, PhD, is a teacher in the Tibetan Buddhist lineage of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. He is the author of Natural Wakefulness: Discovering the Wisdom We Are Born With as well as Natural Bravery: Fear and Fearlessness as Direct Path to Awakening, and his latest book, Welcoming Beginner's Mind. Gaylon has led month-long group meditation retreats since 1976. He was core faculty at Naropa University in Boulder, CO for 15 years. His essay, “Making Friends with Ourselves,” from the pioneering collection "Dharma, Color, and Culture", was selected for The Best Buddhist Writing series. Gaylon was also a contributor to the book "Black and Buddhist: What Buddhism Can Teach Us about Race, Resilience, Transformation, and Freedom."
